Who is Powerdot Multiplication For? The program has been successfully used with children ranging from grades 2, all the way up to middle school SDC students. With older students, Powerdot Multiplication is great for children who have difficulty learning multiplication facts using rote memorization. Buy using music and mnemonic devices, students quickly learn and retain the skip counting songs, and can easily begin multiplying. Along with that, the program also helps older students with division and factoring numbers. For younger students, the program helps give children a firm understanding of what multiplication is, and how to do it in a fun and easy way. |
What Does Powerdot Math Multiplication Consist of, and How Does It Work?
There are two main components to the Powerdot Math Multiplication Program. The first is a fun and exciting music CD that teaches students to skip count by numbers from 0 to 12, and the second is an engaging activity pack consisting of 100 pages of lessons, practice sheets, tips, instructions and the Powerdot Numbering System. Similar to dots on dice, the Powerdot Numbering System allows students to count by every number from 0 - 12 as easily as most of us count by fives or tens. By using the "Lock In" technique taught in this package, students memorize multiplication facts as they progress through the program and, over time, typically eliminate or reduce their need to skip count as their speed increases.
