FAQ
Q: Are we suppose to count the "faded Powerdots" next to the larger addend?
A: Many students are able to just say the larger addend and continue on. If you have trouble with doing this, you can use the faded dots to start counting from 1, and then continue counting all the dots for both addends.
Q: What should the settings be?
A: This is up to the teacher. The instructor may have individual students change the set length, and/or sound setting, as well as Powerdot Assist.
Q: Does "Powerdot Assist" need to be on.
A: It is ON by default to help students learn how to use Powerdot Math properly. Once students demonstrate mastery of using the Powerdots, the teacher may wish to turn off Powerdot Assist, and turn on the "Count on" grid only. Then, students can touch the grid themselves to imagine where the Powerdots should go.
